Stabilization of core business and return to profitability: IIB published financial statements for 2024
The International Investment Bank published its financial statements for 2024. Despite unprecedented illegal external blockages and restrictions by «third parties», as well as poor predictability of the external environment, the Bank demonstrated a high level of resilience and positive dynamics across a number of key indicators during the reporting period.
Financial result:
The Bank ended 2024 with a profit of EUR 11.5 million and increased its asset volume to EUR 1.134 billion. This was made possible due to effective management of income and expenses, the redistribution of resources, as well as an increase in income from securities and deposits by active operations in the financial markets.
Financial results demonstrate gradual stabilization of IIB's activities in the complex economic conditions and consistent adaptation of the operating model and internal processes allowed the Bank to lay the foundation for returning to predictable functioning and planning.
Active development of operations in capital markets, a conservative approach to credit portfolio management and rational cost control allowed the formation of a reserve of operational liquidity sufficient both to fulfill obligations in jurisdictions where restrictive measures are not applied to the Bank and for the gradual restoration of lending and investment activities.
