International Investment Bank and the state corporation «Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs» (VNESHECONOMBANK) signed an agreement on the strategic synergy. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the IIB. The document was signed by the Chairman of VNESHECONOMBANK Vladimir Dmitriev and the IIB Chairman Nikolay Kosov.

The goal of the given agreement is the 'exhaustive long-term cooperation on the Russian and international financial markets'. VNESHECONOMBANK and International Investment Bank are determined to participate in the joined implementation of the investment projects, organization of syndicated lending, the opening of credit lines for the national development banks and export-import banks of the member states of IIB. The signed agreement also presupposes cooperation in the field of trade financing, support of SMEs on the territory of Russia, as well as participation in the projects of public-private partnership and the development of the partnership among the enterprises of the member states of the IIB.

Vladimir Dmitriev, the Chairman of VNESHECONOMBANK, pointed out that IIB is an international financial institution and enjoys a special status. «In this connection IIB’s participation in the investment projects run by VNESHEONOMBANK could contribute to the rise of interest to the projects from local and foreign investors».

IIB’s head Nikolay Kosov noted that 'signing the agreement with VNESHECONOMBANK as one of the largest Russian financial institutions and world’s development bank will become a significant support in the strategic course of IIB aimed at transformation into the modern international development bank, let alone the given fact that it will promote the Bank’s positive image.
