The delegation of the IIB took part in the events in the framework of the second meeting of the Heads of the financial institutions for development of the G20 countries — D20 (Development 20) in Rome.

The IIB participated in them for the second time after the briefing meeting in such a format in 2013 in Moscow upon the initiative of Vnesheconombank. The topic of the main conference was the Enhancement of financing of sustainable development: the role of the D20 institutions". It was organized by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Italian bank for development CassaDepositi e Prestiti (CDP). The final statement of the heads of the financial institutions will be forwarded to the Ministries of Finance and the Heads of the Central Banks of D20, the summit of which will take place in Brisbane, Australia in November, 2014.

The main task of the comprehensive financial agenda for the prospect is the necessity of the increasing of the long-term including private investment flow into the infrastructure and the SME’s sector.

In the framework of the events the separate meetings with the representatives of Vnesheconombank, KfW, EIB, EIF, IDB, Industrial Development Bank of Turkey, the Centre for European Policy Studies, The European Long Term Investors association (ELTI) and others were held.

The organizer of the D20 next year will be the Turkish party.
