The head of IIB Nikolay Kosov has made a speech at Russia Talk 2012
The IIB Chairman of the Board Nikolay Kosov delivered a speech in the Kremlin during the gala dinner which took place at the Russian-British investment forum Russia Talk 2012. Mr. Kosov thanked His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent for his participation in the forum and pointed out the contribution of the Prince into the development of the Russian-British cooperation in economy, culture, and charity.
Nikolay Kosov underlined the important role that the Russian-British Chamber of Commerce, patronized by His Highness, plays in the development of Russian-British trade and economic cooperation. The IIB Head thanked the colleagues from RBCC for the special attention they pay to the issues vital for the development of Russia, such as diversification of urban economies, innovation-based development, public-private partnership, support of small businesses, and the creation of the Moscow International Financial Centre (MIFC). Mr. Kosov discussed the latter in greater detail as he shared the results of the latest meeting of the MIFC Joint Liaison Group. The IIB Head noted that this area of the Russian-British cooperation is developing very effectively.
In his speech Nikolay Kosov expressed confidence that the Russian-British cooperation will be further spurred on during the next meeting of the Russian-British intergovernmental committee on trade and investment chaired by Igor Shuvalov, the first Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government, and Vince Cable, the Business Secretary of the United Kingdom, as well as during the next meeting of the MIFC Joint Liaison Group, scheduled for December.
