Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the presence of the heads of diplomatic missions of IIB’s member states and the Ministry’s top officials Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, solemnly handed the Order of Friendship to Nikolay Kosov, Chairman of the IIB Board.

The decree on awarding the IIB Chairman was signed by the President of the Russian Federation on October 10, 2015.

In his congratulatory remarks, the Minister highlighted Chairman’s achievements in the development of international cooperation, multilateral economic collaboration and trade relations between the member countries of the IIB, emphasizing significant contribution of Nikolay Kosov to the development of the Russian financial system.

In response, the head of the IIB expressed his gratitude to the President of the Russian Federation, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to Sergey Lavrov personally for such high appraisal of his work and for trust vested in him. Nikolay Kosov assured those present at the ceremony that the International Investment Bank under his leadership would continue fulfilling its mission, aimed at sustainable development and economic prosperity of its member states.
