Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó visited the IIB Headquarters
Within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán to the Russian Federation, a working meeting between the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and the Chairman of the International Investment Bank Board Nikolay Kosov was held at the IIB Headquarters.
Nikolay Kosov presented the international team of top managers of the Bank to the high-level guest, spoke about main scopes of IIB activities in Central and Eastern Europe in general, and in Hungary in particular. It was emphasized that International Investment Bank is steadily increasing its operations in the European markets, striving more and more actively to promote economic growth and mutual integration of its shareholder countries of the region, as envisaged by the Bank's Strategy for 2018-2022.
"Hungary is undoubtedly one of our most active shareholders, we are grateful to the Hungarian Government for the provided support," Nikolay Kosov said. " We plan to further expand cooperation, search for and implement new business projects in key areas such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, food industry, trade, as well as providing assistance to Hungarian exporters in attempts to promote their interests in the territory of the IIB member states, including the Russian Federation ".
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó highly evaluated the results of the Bank, noting its growing role as an international development institution. During the meeting, the parties discussed top priorities of the Bank's activities in Hungary and outlined further steps for their implementation.
