IIB business intelligence project is one of the main topics featured in the October issue of Banking Review

The first ever business intelligence (BI) project of the International Investment Bank (IIB) aimed at financial reporting automation is one of the main topics featured in the October issue of Banking Review.

The IIB completed the project jointly with a Russian software developer Diasoft. The key acquirers were the credit and investment, and the compliance and finance departments of the Bank, with the IT Department acting as the project coordinator.

The IIB financial reporting is automated on the basis of FLEXTERA data bank by Diasoft. The solution accelerated the preparation of the reports by 90% and optimized standard reporting forms, also by means of data visualization. A single source of information enabled the standardization of internal financial reporting and allowed the Bank to enhance its compliance risks control tools.

The interview is focused on IIB’s experience in BI, which is relevant not only for international financial institutions, but can also be useful for national development banks and commercial banking structures. At the end of 2016, the joint IIB and Diasoft solution for upgrading corporate automated banking systems won the Financial Sphere award in the category “Implementation in a financial company”. In February 2017, the project was featuredon the outer cover of Banking Review magazine.
